Drawing a New Identity
A two day visit from best-selling critically acclaimed cartoonist James Parsons of the Crazy Comic Club launched the latest Spanish and Art project at the start of term.
Focusing on the notion of identity James enabled students to create a 'chibby' version of themselves which they will go on to turn into cartoon strips and add a narrative in Spanish in order to explore the vocabulary of identity.
GCSE Art students also had the opportunity to work with James on a project titled 'Disguise', which saw them working on superheroes and masked characters.
The feedback from students was fantastic and they have been bringing in further works of art which they have created outside of sessions.
